Hey guys, I FINALLY  got the cam degreed, and it was 1 degree retarded and I'll live with it...

Now I got the ford manual for torque specs, but what bolts are necessary to loctite, and which ones need thread sealer.

I know some of these things may be preference, so lets hear em!

Thanks guys!!!

You don't need no lock-tite or thread sealer on anything. Well, MAYBE you could do it on the cam plate bolts (plate that holds the cam in.) Anything that you torque down don't use lock-tite on it. Kind of defeats the purpose of using torque specs.

Really the only necessary compounds are assembly lube and RTV.

Well there is corrosion on several of the T/cover an w/pump bolts, so I figured maybe some thread sealer woudl fix that.

I was sure thread sealant went on the head studs....

Use the opposite as crazy as it sounds, use anti-seize grease, especially on steel bolts in aluminum. Keep the threads clean of debris.

Teflon tape should work good but I'd throw some sealer on there as well. Tape to prevent migration up the threads goop to help just hold it all back.

Not on anything else.
