AC Delete pulley setup who makes them

It's hard to tell because I did the other mods at the same time. You just have to buy a different size belt.

Jim
I just run a shorter belt. It save HP over using the replacment idler pulley
in place of the A/C compessor pulley.

You just need a shorter belt.

I run my shorter belt over the alternator tention idler pulley.
I have a small slot in the alternater bracket,I can just loosen
the top alternater bolt, and push on the side of the alternater
to pivot it so it will tighten the belt.

Mine adjusts just like the older fords would. I have not modified
my alternater tention pulley like others.

I have had no problems for 3 + years.

I beleive by deleting the A/C pulley, to be worth 5 + HP.

I would never replace the A/C compessor pulley with another pulley.
That makes no sence at all, performace wise or money wise. Just
buy a shorter belt.

With all that crap removed you can cut down the A/C bracket and save even more weight.

In the picture you can see the belt over the alternater pulley. This is to give more wrap around the waterpump pulley. And you can also see in the picture, how the A/C bracket has been cleaned up. Buy machining the A/C mounting boss's off the bracket.Look jim you can even see the spark plug boots on the spark plugs. This in its self is worth not going with another pulley for the A/C.

Save yourself some Money, HP, And make life a little easier when changing spark plugs.Buy a shorter belt!

Randy thanks!

I like your way of doing it much better what size belt did you get? how much shorter is it than stock belt? Your engine looks nice clean getting to the plugs is much easyer I like to check them after a run and gain 5 hp is well worth it

How sure are you of that!? It's hard to believe deleting A/C pulley you will gain
5 + HP...

I think your estimate is real optimistic. The true has to be around 0-1 hp gain. When you have dyno papers about it then I can believe, not before...

I don't care if you beleive my guess-sta-ment on not.

No I do not have a dyno sheet just to show a A/C delete.

I base my guess-sta-ment on some numbers put out about Ryan H.
jackshaft pulley.By going from a steel jackshaft to a alumimun jackshaft
pulley.People were showing on there dyno sheets 12 to 15 RWHP gain.

We have an old saying in the USA.
You can lead a jackass to the water hole ,but you can't make him drink.

I am making over 280 RWHP & over 400 RWTQ with a stock motor.
Sampo ,What are you running as far as RWHP.

Thanks Randy

Why you are so mad?! Have a bad day?!

And of course you don't care about my opinion... Why should you?

What my RWHP numbers affect this? Your opinion is that's the only way to prove something?!?

My motor is almost stock....but not a long. ;) :p

Sorry but your writing seems childish.
As long as you can't prove I don't believe it. If someone else believe your guess-sta-ment that's ok.

When you have dyno papers where that +5 hp appears then I can believe.

PS. Se elukka älähtää johon kalikka kalahtaa! ( An old Finnish saying )

Jim I also have made a bracket that you bolt to the alternator
& to the alternator bracket. Its about 3 inchs long, slotted for
adjustment .You just loosen the bolt and pivot the alternator
to tighten the alternator belt.Just like older cars would adjust
the alternator.

I made this bracket for running a electric waterpump.Gary Kuhns
was running this setup. You will need to machine a waterpump
delete plate. Or I might have another one laying around.I would
need to look.

So with the waterpump delete plate, electric waterpump, and the
deletion of the A/C compessor pulley. This setup is worth 20 +
RWHP on the big end of the track.

You can serch for a picture of GARY kuhns car to see the setup.
I have a picture of my setup. But my waterpump delete plate is
set up with a jackshaft mount. So inplace of the water pump pulley.
I can bolt-on a jackshaft pulley in place of the water pump pulley.

With this setup I can delete the hold A/C bracket that holds the
A/C compressor and DSI.

Here is a picture of a waterpump delete plate with jackshaft pulley mount.
The manifold in the picture is you old manifold that I redone. I have yet
to do any testing with the jackshaft moved to the waterpump mounting
area. I plan to use cogged pullies for this setup.

Sorry I didn't know you hate me so much. Now I know. And what is the reason...

I asked you to prove +5hp gain. Don't say that kind of thing if you can't prove it! You wasn't able to do it and when I'm saying I don't believe it, your next move is to say I call you liar! Unbelievable! I have never call YOU a liar! ...but you have called me a jackass some or other way... Next time when you see writing me something pass that also, thanks!

Think again WHO started the crap!

Darn, the only finnish to english translator I could find was blocked at work

As with the majority of all mods, few are ever backed up with dyno numbers and even if they are, dyno numbers can be tweaked to show what the vendor wants to be seen. That's why I rarely, if ever, quote gains via hp numbers. I do document them on the track or seat of the pants, the latter being impossible to argue :D

True every word!

BTW, I bet you can't translate my Finnish traditional saying! :D But hey, try and tell me the result...;)
