My dome lights don't work ... what should I do?

I just bought my 92 SC not too long ago, and one thing I've noticed is that my dome lights don't work. I flip the switch on either light, and nothing. Any suggestions for how I might fix this at home? Or what to look for? Thanks

Does the light operate when you open the door, or do just the map lights not work? If just the map lights are out, I first have to ask if you've checked the bulbs. They are standard incandescent automotive bulbs. If it doesn't light with the door open, and the lights in the rear seat panels do not light, you may have a blown fuse. Check and replace with equivalent if necessary.
