Alright guys got a quick question for the experts...
I know how to go about installing the cam.
So to install the cam and crank gears do I need to find top dead center on piston 1?
When I get the chain and everything installed onto the cam and crank, do I need to install the timing cover in order to degree the cam? This is were I am a little bit lost. I have read many threads, and most of them state about turning the crank with the balancer on, and to me that means I need to install the timing cover... correct?
So if I need to degree the reground cam, I then would need to take off the timing cover and cut a new keyway in the crank gear?
Any help will be appreciated as I am in the beginning stages of reassembling everything. Thanks alot
