alright im not new to the thunderbirds but i am to the sc. I had a 96 bird but i got into a wreck about 9 months ago. I thought i would try something new so i picked up a 90 sc today. the body has some rust on it but other than that the car is in good shape. it has 109,000 miles on it. the guy just replaced the head gaskets and had new brakes on it. I was hoping you guys could tell me a little about the car and what to expect with it. i was looking at gettting a different pulley for the supercharger. can you guys give me some tips on that. thanx alot. o ya i got the car for $1,300. is that a good price for it?

Congrats on your purchase. $1300 is a good price. Listen carefully!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT CHANGE THE PULLEY on the supercharger unless you change your exhaust fully first. And I do mean fully. A 5% pulley and no resonator you might get away with, but I would upgrade all of your exhaust if your going to a 10% pulley. The stock exhaust on these cars is a joke. If you ever lose your brakes, check the brown relay on the pass. side firewall first. A new one is $25. If not, your brake booster is probably bad. (pressure switch. accumulator, pump motor) These cars are notorious for bad head gaskets and complicated brake boosters. If you need to get your brake booster rebuild send it to PRIOR REMAN in Texas or A1 Cardone in New Jersey. A1 is what I just did. Prior is $600.28 A1 is $840 Both do good work Not to frighten you, just be aware. These cars are a TON-O-FUN but you need to know what they are all about.
