i am going to redo my 94 engine. this is what i am thinking about doing to her, pulling the motor and pulling the crank and everything through the bottom end. i am going to get the crank check, now should i get the rods and the pistons checked too? or just get new pistons? and if i go with all (new stock internals) do i still have to get the motor balanced? and how do i go about doing that?

A machine shop/ engine builder will have to do the balancing. It takes special equipment and adding or removing material. Also, depending on the shape of your cylinders, if they need to be bored out, you will need new pistons anyway... Balancing is overall a good thing on a rebuild, especially if you will be adding performance enhancers, but it can add $450 or more to the cost of the rebuild...
