View Full Version : rear bumper bracket?

Did all SC's come with the squareish bumper bracket that holds the center of the rear ground effect to the bumper? My 93 never had one, and never sagged either. My latest 90SC anny had a sagging bumper with some broken tabs, but then I found that this bracket wasnt attached. I put some hardware through it and the bumper looks great now. Just wondering if it came on all of them or not. Thanks.

I think originally yes, although some people have probably removed them. I don't think my 92 has it since I changed the bumper but don't remember it being there to begin with. My 90 I am sure has it.

Are you talking about the "Support Rear Tow Attachment" shown in View A?

No its not that. Its just a small piece of flat plastic, it resembles a license plate holder and goes from the lower ground effect up to the bumper to keep it from sagging. I should have a pic tommorrow.
