The pulley on my compressor is going, i have two other compressors but the pulley is different. Im contemplating the idea of just swaping compressors but im not sure if by doing so (and by unpluging the lines) i will need to vacuum out the system or perform something else. Any assistance is appreciated!

Yes, you should have the system evacuated or whatever the term is.

Uhhhhh...Sorry, I'm not following.
You have a problem with the pulley on the compressor on the car, right? You have two other compressors, but their pulley is different than what the car has and you want to install one of those compressors. Correct?
So what I'm not following is how is one of the other compressors going to work if the pulley is different?
Anyway, I'd suggest just changing the pulley set since you'll be buying another pulley set either way. It can be done pretty quick with simple hand tools. These don't require a puller for the clutch hub, and the hard part is setting the air gap, which is easy so you get the idea.

The actual compressors are identical so you can use either one...whats different in them is the shape/size of the coil for the pulley and the back of the pulley (to accomodate for its respective coil) so you cannot interchange pulleys, but you can use either compressor with their matching pulley.
