to replace the master cyclinders actuator rod and spring and clips without replace the master. The clip in the master that "holds" the actuator went bad. When you press the brakes the pedal does not come back up all the way. The rod will click when you pull the pedal up and then the brakes release. HELP

Are you saying the actuator rod won't return? I have a master cylinder layin' loose, I can see what it takes to get into it if you need so you can see if the return spring is stuck/broken etc.

I'm not an expert on these, usually just swap the bad one out & in with the good, but be happy to take a look if it'll help.

Also, you are sure the rod is at fault and not the swingarm assembly under the dash? No binding or anything huh?

It is the rod and spring and clips...I cannot see into the master as it is still on car. But, when the rod goes in, it clicks. Then on the return, it brings the pedal back up..just not all the way. You have to take your foot and pull it the rest of the way up.
