Strut tower brace reducing firewall/tunnel cracking?

Hey guys, I just wanted some opinions...

Do you think that the strut tower brace would aid agaisnt the cracking in the firewall/tunnel?

I noticed the smallest hairline crack where the tunnel and firewall meet, and I had no way of welding it at the time, so I just drilled the ends of the crack...

But I'm thinking the STB would help keep it from flexing so much.

Any thoughts?

I think that if you have the STB only, it Could deflect the stresses to other areas of your car's body.

You would be better with some LECB and FSSB Subframe connectors in addition to the STB's to help stiffen the car's frame in that area by the firewall / transmission tunnel.

I installed a Rear Shock tower brace in my car and hit the twisties .. came back with a crack down the middle of my windshield. Dont know if that had anything to do with it, or if it was just from the stresses of racing it hard.

Just my .02
