I am going to hook up my Autometer A/F Ratio gauge and wanted to know if anyone knows what color the wire is that I need to tap into the O2 sensor. What is the best way to do it? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!!

What year is your car? How many wires you got?

My '89 has 2 whites and a black. Black is the signal.

Troy - it's definitely the black wire (even on later models with 4 wire sensors). I also found the small 3M wire splices worked well & had the added benefit of the spade type quick disconnect. You may, however, have to VERY carefully scrape some of the insulation first, in order to get a good connection. These wires are very thin. I then wrapped the splice with insulation tape and used 1/4" flex plastic tubing to protect the gauge wire up to my hole in the fire wall. You could even make connections to both O2 sensors and use a 3 way switch to be able to check each cylinder bank.
