When I pull my block can I leave the tranny in? or do i need to pull it out as well? All I have left in the engine bay is just the block so it would be really easy either way but dont really want to take it out if i dont have to.

You can unbolt the transmission from the motor and the torque convertor from the flywheel and just pull the motor. If the tranny is good and you are not going to work on it, might as well leave it in the car.

Yes, but you will need to put a block of wood, or something under the bellhousing to help support the transmission after removing the motor. If you don't it will tear the tranny mount.

If you are worried about it at all you could alway just throw a jack stand under the tranny for support.
