I heard somewhere that the abs pump supplies boost for the back brakes. If this is true, can we turn it off while we do our burnouts instead if buying, installing and useing line locks? Its just about burn-out season and I'm curious.
I was just thinking of taking the fuse out or something. I read somewhere that you gotta run the pump to bleed your back brakes, I seriously thought this would save my back brakes from my wrath.
From what I've read, when the abs units fails you loose your back brakes but the front will work (barely) as it will take ALOT of foot pressure to hold it.
Me tinks if your doing burn outs and standing on the brake to hold your car in position you won't be so focused on feathering the throttle needed for a nice burnout.
Easiest thing to do that won't mess anything up with the ABS system is to get and install a set of linelocks. I hear they are not that expensive and are not that hard to install. Just watch out cause I thinks our brake lines are thinner than most cars out there so make sure you get a kit that will work on our cars.
