I wonder what the specs are on the early sc and late modle camshafts. What would be a good camshaft for a roots supercharged car if you could make your own?

I;d do a search on this as there are many many posts on it..The 89 manual cam is best to get factpry wise..Comp and crane both make new grinds and many of the SC parts sellers can get you as well.

What works for a Supercoupe and what works for a roots blower application are two different things. Generally we like to keep the LSA wide so that we don't lose boost through overlap but if you have enough blower that isn't really a problem.

Matching the cam selection to the head flow and rpm expectations would be my first order of business and then other factors fall in line behind that.

For an SC generally duration 236 or less and in many cases just 210 or so works fine too. Lift is limited by the ability of the heads to flow air and the rest of your valvetrain components so that generally means under .600" for the 3.8L.

There's more to it than that but that is a starting point.
