Cracked Block???

I just pulled apart a 130K mile engine for a freshening up and discovered some very small lines in the bores, adjacent to water jackets. They appear to be cracks.

Is this the infamous "cracked block" scenario I hear so much about?

...or could this be a simple surface imperfection that an overbore will correct?

Thanks,

cracked block???

ALWAYS sent all blocks and heads out to a machine shop and have them magnafluxed and pressure tested FIRST. The will also mike the cyl. bores and will tell you if and how much it will need to be bored or honed .Its also advisable to sent the crank and have it checked as well.I always do this that way I know what parts I'll need and what I'll have to spend ,no suprizes. Hope this helps.
