Just courious how hard would it be and what kind of special tools are required to rebuild Automatic transmission?

It's hard... I wouldn't do it, no matter how hard my budget would be. I'm not sure what tools you would need, but I'd say that take it to a specialist and enjoy when it's done.

not that hard at all. I didn't rebuild my transmission, but I watched jerry do it. Took him about 21 minutes to do.
Realisticly, it is a pain in the ass. It takes 3-4 hours for 2 people to remove the transmission, an hour to disassemble it, 2-3 hours for a newbie to rebuild it following the manual, another 3-4 to reinstall it. So if you don't mind smoking away a whole weekend, it would be a good experience.
Don't forget to replace your radiator or atleast put on a filter after the rebuild.
