car starts and was idling
but when you shift from park to reverse or park to drive she stalls out

if you power brake it and get the car moving she runs and drives like a dream

it will sometimes stall coming to a stop but runs great and moves pretty good

any ideas

yes shane motor mounts
but they were new when the engine was put in the car only a short time ago so id hope they wernt bad
and this shifting thing did not happen till the car was worked on at a garage so id highly highly doubt motormounts

i swapped iac's did the same thing
changed cam sensor helped the dying tachometer

i gutted the cats and it back fires upon start up most of the time and when its about to die

i also want to post that the car runs about 18 inches of mercury when the car is in park idling
i had it idling perfect but now it fluctuates
if i take it around the block it will idle perfect??

Try adjusting your throttle stop screw. It might just be set too low. If it seems like you are having to turn it excessively to restore proper idle, then maybe something else is wrong. With IAC unplugged, adjust the screw until idle is stable at about 600 rpm. Then see how it goes.
