newbie computer Q's

okay here goes, I have a project 4.0 that I am working on and am wondering if I can use a SC computer to run it. I am working on a turbo kit and am thinking that if I can get an SC computer to work I can tune it myself. I don't have any problems if I need to re-pin the harness, or add some wires. The harness I will be using will be a 94' 4.0 explorer/ranger. Any info will be great...

SC computer expects inputs from a crank position sensor, cam position sensor and sends signals to fire a distributorless ignition system.

It also works with a knock sensor and is setup to control a relay box that drives a two speed electric cooling fan.

It also works with ambient air pressure through a BAP rather than a MAP sensor.

If your 4.0 has all that, then yes, such a computer might work for you.

so I assume they use EDIS 6(36-1) ignition. I am pretty sure that 4.0's don't have a cam sensor(OHV), and I could probably put 4 mag/notches on the crank pulley. I thought that they used a map sensor, but apparently its the same thing I have. Well with this info I guess I will just mod the factory computer I already have. Thanks for the info...
