180 stat

have done , looked at threads not sure wich wire is # 14 to get the fan working all the time, put in a SHO fan lots more flow not having an over heating problem just want to be pro active

Apparently #14 wire is different colors on different years so you need to unplug the connector and look at the numbers inside.

"Yep - cut the #14 wire, put a male connector on the IRCM end. Put a 3M type splice on the #17 wire (don't cut the 17 !!) and then connect the 14 to it. Then I'd put a female connector on the dead end of the 14 and wrap some tape on it or I prefer to use a pcv cap. Then in the winter you can reconnect the 14 back up to stock."

how is this done?
i just installed a 180 stat today. what i did was jumped the connector to A/C clutch cycling switch located on the accumulator and disconnected the connector from A/C compressor. now my high speed fan comes on when i switch to "max A/C".
