Hey Guys,
Im having some trouble.My 91sc aod wont start.It cranks but wont catch.The fuel pump cycles on,the inertia switch is good.I replaced the ignition switch and keyed tumbler the relays are good and still nothing.Can someone please shed some light on this for me? I'm really at my wits end....:mad:
 
sounds like your crank sensor went out, mine did the same thing. Do you have any dash lights on while its cranking, usually the upshift light stays on even with an auto
 
does your tach not work @start and when it finally runs?
Does it take 5-6 tries to get her started?
sounds like ur cam sensor
changed mine and problem went away.
 
Take a look at the HB when cranking.....

If there is wobble that will most likely be your problem....:mad:
 
I didnt see a wobble...any more ideas?....could the cam sensor be pooched even though my upshift light doesnt come on?....

The upshift light is activated by the crank sensor not the cam sensor. I would try checking for codes first. Does the engine try to catch at all? Check for fuel pressure at the rail. Good luck!

check all the electrical connections in the engine bay, especially on the DIS and the Throttle body.
