pulled a code....#565 the book says cannister purge solenoid. How do i change it and or repair it?..Is this the one in front of the car?.By the eec?

If the CANP valve is allowing fuel vapors to leak into the intake manifold as the engine is shut off,it will supply the fuel necessary to cause the engine to diesel.Crimp the CANP hose (the largest one running from the CANP valve to the intake manifold),and then run and shut off the engine several times. If the dieseling is gone, replace the CANP valve.

This is what the book says about this.

It's approximately 3 inches below the passenger's side low beam (outer) headlight. All 91 T-birds have the same type of solenoid.

A bad purge canister solenoid will not cause your engine to stop running. Just plug the hose going to it, and use a good vacuum plug. If your car wont start, try searching the forums.
