My A/C needs to be recharged and I was wondering what it uses? 134 or..? It's a '94 SC. I'm taking her to the shop tomorrow so I need to know. If it's been converted how would I know?

Thanks :)

Ya it's factory R134. I just installed my AirCon short AC condenser on my 95 (what a bich) and had it recharged today.:)

you can always tell which refrigerant by the type of access valve used. R-12 systems used a 45 degree flare fitting either 1/4" or 3/16" depending on manufacturer (Ford Chrysler, Chev.).

R-134a systems will use a male and female fitting (low side / high side) which require a special set of hoses only for use with automotive R-134a systems. The fittings are flat on the top.
