I just bought a used engine out of a 1993 SC. I tore it down and rebuilt it. Now I'm getting ready to install it in my 1989 SC. I discovered the 89 has an EGR attachment on the intake and the 1993 does not.
Which intake should I use? Which one is better? If I use the 93 what do I do with the EGR stem and the vaccum line running off of it?
The 93 had 131,000 miles on it that is why I rebuilt it. Used ARP studs in the heads, hoping I'll no longer have headgasket problems. Wynn is rebuilding the snout on the supercharger for me and the Radiator is at the shop getting cleaned, flushed and checked for leaks. My old bird had 271,000 miles and was using oil and it no longer had the punch it used to.
Any help on this intake problem would be greatly appreciated?
