Well I have all the parts together except for a clutch hydraulic line, but as it turns out my knee's are getting so bad I can barely hold a clutch in on a stock Honda Civic.
So, in light of that I have alot of parts for sale for someone that wants to do the conversion, including a 2:73 pumpkin. I'd like to sell all this as a package deal.
- M5R2 Transmission, appears to have been rebuilt recently, and the previous owner said it shifted beautifully.
- Centerforce DF Clutch brand new
- Slave Cylinder brand new
- Master Cylinder used
- Fluid resevoir used
- '90 EEC 5Spd Computer used
- Narrow brake pedal for a 5spd
- Clutch pedal, support bracket, and clutch pedal switch.
- Clutch pedal bushings etc, new from Ed
- '90 5spd drive shaft
- '90 5spd Flywheel (had a mechanic say its practically new, just needs to be cleaned, no machining required)
- New flywheel bolts from Ed
- Black Center console cover for 5spd, excellent shape, includes the Fog and ARC switches.
- New mustang grey leather shift knob (The one Ed references to and bought from him.)
- '90 wiring harness's from the transmission.
- '90 5Spd starter but not sure how good it is
I also took the dash out of the donor car with all the wiring intact. The only thing I did was cut out the Clutch pedal harness, but it is nothing to wire that back in.
I think thats it so far, I'll double check my shop tonight for parts I missed and list them here.
Hows $700 for the whole shebang......

Hey Craig,
It was from the first '90 I had for parts. The motor (which I"m keeping for a build up maybe) was replaced about 2 years ago and judging from what I saw on the internals of the tranny its been rebuilt as well. For instance the gap between the blocker rings and the gears are to spec, the teeth on the slider rings are all good as well as per this tutorial m5r2 Rebuild Tutorial (http://www.fivaxis.com/m5r2rebuild/), and I don't feel any end play on the input or output shafts.
I actually do have a earlier post on here showing pics of the internals.

Southern Gear sells a rebuild kit including the brass blockers for $250.
The fiber blockers are no longer used.

Pete, I think you might need a drive shaft out of a 94 or 95, check the FAX section. I'm sure the lengths of those years are different.
Frit, I have sent you an email. I'm interested ina few things you may still have.

Sorry to drag this oldie up, but at this time, other than the clutch which I sold to Ryan, I'm keeping everything else.
I'm going ahead with the 5 spd conversion this winter, and I finally got a clutch hydraulic line from the good ole USA.
Since I have another daily driver, if my knee is acting up, then the ole lx gets driven, and the SC stays home.
Now to build her up for road/autocross racing :D

Sounds good, Does this mean your going to PM me about buying the clutch back? ;)
Where did you get the line from? I'm in the market for 2.

Fraser, good to hear that you were able to come up with that last piece that was holding you back from being able to do the conversion. :)
cheers

Yup... I need that clutch back ;)....
I got it from the-big-e as he was parting out two 5 spds and I was able to jump in and get it.....
You could PM him and see if he has the other one still.
Ed, its going to be nice to try out the ole girl with a manual in it... it may only last a year cause of my knee's, but at least I can say I drove it that way. Meanwhile I'm going to do a rebuild on the AOD and install a lentech VB.
