Well, as some of you may remember, I had a carpet covered dash in my SC due to it being all cracked! Well, thanks to my friend who gave me a parts car, I was able to take the dash out of his car and use it in mine.

Pics. Enjoy. Comment.

My first SC was an '90 American model. It was imported before Transport Canada put the kybosh on the Passive Restraint System (PRS) MN-12's.

My '93 Canadian SC doesn't have air bags, except when I'm taking my mother in law to the liquor store. I believe air bags weren't standard equipment until the '94 model year. Comments?

Nice work. Straighten those ignition wires and clean up that brake fluid reservoir, eh!! :o) And what's that running across the front of your blower top? Just a little detailing tip..... I used a $2.00 brass brush from the kitchen wares department at WalMart to clean up the bolt heads on the tensioners, pulleys and other items under the hood. Keep it going. It's intriging to watch an SC transformed to your personal taste. Well done.

How are the door hinges holding up? Any problems to date? Very striking pose when they're open.

I still cannot understand the placing of a monitor within the driver's view. Is this not the ultimate in distractions? I get pissed at drivers with cell phones not paying attention to the road, let alone the ones watching TV. Incredibly dangerous.

The ICE is probably not for when he is driving...

As far as what's going over the blower snout it is probably the PCV tube that should be routed under it instead

Yes, the screens are only on when the cr is parked or at shows. I do not turn them on while driving cause I am easily distracted and that would not be good. Plus the fine for having them on is quite large while driving! Not worth it!

The doors are holding up perfectly. Zero problems, open and close better then factory! He is going to be putting his new hinge on my car very soon as I was a test car for him and have one of the very first versions of the kit! He has done over 30 cars now and sold about 50 kits. There are guys/gals coming from all over the place to have him take off the ~~~~~~ door kits on the market and having him install his hinges!!

My car will not be sporting lambo doors much longer! I was one of the first 3 guys to have lambo doors in the area where I live. Now that it's the thing to have, it's getting old IMO! So we are working on a kit exclusivly for me, if you guys have heard of the Koenigsegg CCR/CCX, you will know how my doors will open! I want something original that nobody else will have other then me and then start copying me! LOL.

As for the engine, I am currently saving up for a 5spd swap and a FMIC using a SRT-4 FMIC, seeing how they support 375WHP before heatsoaking. In the winter, I will be pulling the engine out and doing some heavy modding! As I want an ALL Show, and quite a bit of go car. My goal is to run mid 13's when I'm fully done building my car. As for cleaning the engine, it's going under way this week to get ready for a series of crazy shows in Windsor that I need to have my car ready for.

It is an american SC and my uncle got it across before the PRS was not allowed in Canada.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I appreciate all of them and I will continue to keep you guys updated on what's going on in my neck of the woods!

You say that your Lambo doors are going away... How much would you want for the hinges off of them and all the hardware so I could swap them into my car potentially?

Jean, since you were asking for opinions, here it goes. I think you do need a set of brand new headlights and clear corners. ;)

Not trying to sound like show off or anything... 2 hours to pull the black dash out, 30 minutes to pull my cracked dash out. 2 hours to swap the dash harness over to the black dash. and about 3 hours to put the black dash in and get the car outside to wash it. Mind you, I had to re wire a ~~~~ load of wires cause the idiot who tried fixing my cracked dash, ran the harness around the streering collum, so I had to cut part of the harness in half to pull the dash out! But yea, I learnt alot from this swap.

Also, the reason I havent posted those pics of the parts up yet is beacause something serious is being planned out for my SC. Something that some ppl have dreamed about is getting done! So, it should be a very interesting week!

Payton, I am doing the 96/97 headlight swap with a 89/93 front clip with a nice cowl hood for the engine to fit!!!

Should not be that hard to put cobra motor in an SC.

Has anybody done it?, and what where the times? I will be going with a full built Auto instead of the T-56. The reason is, I want a car that I can drive around all the time. And I also want a consistent time. If I get bored of the auto, I'll swap a T-56 in.

I remember seeing someone with an LX do the swap.

I have not seen it done but since the mark8 had a 4.6 32valve motor we know it does fit. the only problem I see is brake master might be in the way on a 89 to 92 car.
I know it's not that hard I looked at doing it last summer when I thought my motor was done.

I will talk to you next time your on msn.
