I'm thinking about trading my '97 Chevy P/U for a Super Coupe or maybe an SHO.
Info on the truck:
1997 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd
75k miles
4.3 V6
5spd tranny
Std cab, long bed
Maroon with sport package (454 SS style chrome wheels, chrome grille)
Chrome accenting on rockers and bottom bed area
Black corner lenses
Sony CD player (nothing special, but it plays CD's still)
Vinyl flooring, cloth bench seat
Maroon/red interior
Solid rear window
The truck is in great condtion and has quite low miles for the year. It originally was imported from Canada, but the odometer was changed out and rolled forward to show accurate mileage. The truck does have a damaged title, due to a small front end accident which called for replacement of the passenger side fender, grille, bumper, and most likely some light assemblys. The work was done correctly and very well, and it's very hard to tell anything was wrong with the truck.
The interior is 98% perfect on this truck. The exterior has a few small scratches that could easily be buffed out, and maybe one or two small parking lot dings.
Mechanically, it is in need of a catalytic converter and attached pipe. It's not a dire thing, but it is an annoying sound in general. I just haven't had the cash to replace it. Other than that, the truck is in great running order. The clutch and transmission are fine, as is the rear end and drivetrain.
I would like to trade the truck for a '94 or newer S/C with less than 100k miles, 5spd, preferably black with full leather interior. Or, a '95 ish SHO, same mileage, all serviced, 5spd.
