Found a way to slide busted power seat

My driver's seat has stripped gears, so it was impossible to move it forward or back. I figured out that you can move the seat without using the motor. Take off the black slide cover on the outside of the seat. Then remove the tension spring (careful now). Then you should see the pinion gear that moves the seat. Put a 17mm six-point socket on that and you can turn it either way. That should move the seat forward and back. Be aware, however, that it will force the gears to move, so don't try it if you are concerned about breaking a gear. If your gear is already smashed, then I think you are fine.

Also, if you have the seat out of the car, you can move the seat by using a large crescent wrench on the bar that connects the gears on each side.

These methods also work on cars that have no electrical power.
