how can i make then brighter without buying a new setup? a new set of bulbs?
i wish the competition limited harness was still around...for the headlights.
but these fog lights make no difference on or off. they look nice, but aid in no other way.
any suggestions?

What kind of bulbs? Stock?
Try silverstar's. I have them and they made quite a difference.
BTW - Are your stock housing's dirty? I know my headlights were horrible and had to replace the whole damn housing.

I believe I've got FF75's and like them. Since my 'Bird didn't originally have fog lights, I just used the wiring that came from Hella. But even if I originally had OEM lights, I would have used Hella's wiring anyway. I don't think the OEM harness is all that great as far as light output.

This might sound ghetto, but heres what I did to 3 birds so far:
I removed the housings and cut the lens sealant carefully to get the lens off. Most of the time they pop right off without any cutting. Then lightly scuff the inside reflector with some steel wool, and clean and shoot with the bling bling chrome spray paint you can get at most auto stores. Then cleaned and buffed out the lenses, and sealed them back in with high temp RTV. They are much brighter after this. Ive even heard of people making reflectors out of foil and other such things for the stockers. Good luck.

I wouldn't waste any time trying to make the factory fogs better; kinda like polishing a turd. :D
I went with the Piaa 2192 driving lights:

They fit perfectly, and I think I had to drill one hole per side for the mounting.
As for the Competition harness; just make your own. All you need is relays, wire and connectors. I have the low's, hi's and fogs wired in 14ga, and each with their own relays. The headlights have Piaa Xtreme white bulbs. 100% better than stock. Once I get time to polish the headlights, I am hoping to be at least 150% better than stock. http://www3.telus.net/cbradley/Smileys/big_thumb_up.gif

I have the $25 wal mart version of those, glass and steel not plastic like stock, mounted in that same spot.
The bulbs for the rotting stock fogs were $18 apiece! Heck with that, plus they are heavy as _ _ _ _ with the brackets they used!
Used the factory harness, and ran a batt wire to the factory switch sos i could turn em on seperately....looks good super!
