Who's planning on attending and would anyone be int. in doing something as a group? If so I may have a place for us to park/show thats right off the strip. Let me know so I can see about reserving it. Email me @ brains06@hotmail.com. There are certain people here (you know who you are) that I FULLY expect to attend!!

I will probably be there. I go up almost every year. I see your from southgate. I was up at the fort street cruise this year. I find it to be the most enjoyable out of all of them.

yeah I was up there at Beyond Reality on the Wyandotte side of Fort at N-line. What color is your SC? I saw a few but couldnt get anyones attention. I'm pretty sure I saw TwoTone Thunder (red/silver). I have a spot up at 13 and Woodward that we can park at if youre int. I'm also working as a volunteer for the event for about an hour too. I like woodward but I agree with you that the Downriver cruise is better. Where are you and what do you have?

I am from the Monroe area. I actually didn't bring either of my SC's up to the cruise. I have a 95 5-speed (silver blue mist) and a 91 auto (silver). We went up one day and rode around in my buddies jeep, and the other day in another buddies truck. To be honest I just didn't want to drive, I like to ride around and watch others. Plus my buddy runs a 100 shot on his jeep so it makes for a good time. When we weren't cruising, we stayed around where the Mcdonalds and the Ford dealership were, right across from meijer.
I also seen the two tone SC. Yeah something about that downriver cruise. Maybe its the fact its a little more contained and not so spread out. Seems a little more personal. I always see people up there I know, its a clean area, and just come really nice cars and girls! I also went up to the telegraph road cruise there just this past friday/saturday. However, I didn't think the turnout was good at all. I know its only there second one, but I guess I expected it to be somewhat like Fort street.

If you happen to see the 60's Ford Torino with wide steel wheels, say hey to Brad. His car got a lot of compliments from the folks at the Car Craft Summer Nationals. He said he was going to try to hit the Woodward.

Just an observation: I'm sure all of you local guys know when the cruise is, but I do not and I can't believe I'm the only onethat doesn't.

ooooh, sorry good call. The Woodward Dream Cruise is the oldest and largest car show in the world. It runs a 10-20 mile stretch of Woodward ave. in the Metro Detroit area. Woodward was the first paved street in the U.S. I think and since this is/was the car capital we host the event. There are cars that come from all over the world to participate. Check out the website for details and pics.

Well, I'm not bringing any SC's with me, I only know one SC guy around Windsor and he thinking his car is a ricer, so I dont associate with him. And the other guys are complete dicks! So.... I am going with a bunch of my friends who have really fast cars, a variety of them.

Good chance I can make it with my 35th car. My sister lives over there in Novi
I'd be interested to park it with a group too. Would be there on Sat and Sun.

I'd love to go but having a broken SC and being 5000km away kinda kills that. :(

We need more SC's. Two Tone where the hell are you? XR7 Dave? Dude you live in OH, most of it is a suburb of Detroit, cmon lets show up. Last year there were more mustangs than I ever want to see but only a handful of SC's. Older birds are there but it seems to stop with the 60's. We have one of the rarest most influential rides of the last 20yrs, lets get er dun!

:D sorry bout the delay, I'll be there all day. I'm working as a volunteer in the a.m. from 6-9:30. from there I'll either go home and get the fam or just hang. Since I didnt get much of a response for a group gathering I gave up on setting aside a place for us. I'll most likely be at the "on the run" Mobil station on 13 mile and woodward. I'll have a little pull there so if you come and others do too, I think I can get us lined up off the street.
I met up with drummersrok24 down there last friday night and we had a ball. I cant tell you how many cars were up there and the cops will let you race till about midnight and then they start cracking down on it. If you or anyone else who reads this decides to come, call me 248-497-3389 and we will link up. Just fyi, this friday should be packed and cats will be racing all up and down the strip......just fyi. :D :D

I was born and raised in Redford. My Brother and many Relatives live there still. The last 3 years I have been working on completing my Bird, and going up to visit, and doing the cruise both. It is at last worthy of the cruise, and now gas is so high I can't afford to drive or tow it that far. Some times thing just SUCK! :)

Let me get this straight. You can race and burnout on the street and the police don't care?
Isn't it too packed full of cars to street race. I mean there are probably plenty of industrial parks that are empty at night to race at but right down woodward???
I would have liked to come, maybe next year. I hear there was a pack of about 35 Grand Nationals roaming around looking to race up there.
