I've noticed that my gas tank started to leak when it's full.
Would you advice me to fix it right away or I can drive around like that for a while making sure I don't top it up?

You should check just under and slightly in front of the passenger side rear wheel. Just remove the wheel and follow the route the filler neck takes until you get to the point where there is a short length of rubber hose coming from the tank that connects to the filler neck. It could be loose and in need ot adjustment. The same goes for the smaller hoses just beside it that are for the evaporative emission controls. Depending on where it's leaking from, it could be these hoses or where the fuel pump goes into the tank. Unfortunately if it's coming from the later, you'll need to remove the tank to investigate.

Payton--I have a tank and it's already off the car if you want it. Free... :D It was from Trevors parts car.

I had one of those and I got it fixed before someone smoked around it.:o Another thing, here's some food for thought, mine leaked where the fuel pump is and the gas ate away the shielding on the harness exposing the wires to where it could have caused a spark. If yours is the same I'd disconnect the battery and have it towed of fix it yourself before it blows.

you need to find out there the leak is first if it's the rear I would say it's the cross over tube at the rear. There is a little clip to hold it up but if the tank has been down anytime it may no longer be in there and when this happens the tube hits the drive shaft and will put a hole in it.

It could be the gasket seal on the fuel pump.....

Mine did the same thing and I drove it for like that for three years (never filled her up) before I fixed it......

I was lucky I didn't burn the car to the ground.....

The fuel melted the wire connector on top of the fuel pump to the point where you could hardly tell what wire went where......

Is "full" the "F"?
I think my gauge is broken.....the needle hardly ever goes there.

Mine goes well beyond F
Prior to fixing my gas tank problem, my gas gage use to stay on F for the first 120 miles then drop to 3/4. Since I had the pump, seal and harness replaced it works as it's suppose too.

I screwed up while installing aftermarket reverse glow gauges hence it not reading as it supposed to

I know mine is! Doesn't matter if I put $25 or $75 worth of gas in mine, it only goes to quarter tank on the gauge.

Payton, my gauge is fine. I was trying to be a smart ~~~ saying it rarely goes to "F" due to the price of the stuff. Actually, my '93 gauge is pretty well calibrated right across it's entire sweep. I've had previous SC's where the gauge doesn't move for 400 km and then goes to "E" nearly as fast as a tach.....:)
