Please let me know if a red 96 shows up at pick and pull. I am looking for the rear disc brakes, I think it might have them. Thanks

if you would have beat me to the yard on sat. you could have got the disc brake setup off a 96 cougar.i needed the knuckles/hubs to replace the ones with bad bushings on the 89sc that were bad.calipers were still there when i left, did you get the vents and hood release handle?

I was gonna run out there today, but I think I'll wait this heat wave out a bit. Wait! According to the Weather Bug on my computer the temp just dropped from 99 to 98! I think I'll grab a jacket & head on out!

I used a pulley puller, to push the axle out of the knuckle.

i did mess one up slightly on the 89sc with a hammer.the first one popped right out no problem.the second one took a little more "help" like a dummy i didn't leave the axle nut on there to help even out the blow to the end of the axle. i kinda mushroomed out the end part that has no threads so i ground it down and cleaned up the threads with a thread file.i'd never seen one of them before but my welder buddy at work had it.anyway everything on the back,knuckles/hubs,brake calipers ,rotors and pads, uca's,shocks and eibachs are done.now i have to finish putting all the new stuff on the front end.it was alot more repairs than i thought it needed but at least i'll know that when my son is probably going faster than he should be that everything mechanically is sound. :D

i think it's 1 5/16".i don't know what mm it is but that socket worked for me along with a breaker bar and 3' piece of pipe to slide on the breaker bar.don't forget that you need something to keep the hub from turning,i used a big long screwdriver wedge between a couple of the lug nuts and the ground.
