i heard a rumor from someone at tccoa that george davenport fitted a cervini's mach 1 hood to the later style headlights and bumpers. does anybody know him or if this is true? pics would be great if you have them. thanks, Dave

I did that a few years back also, with a 89-93 Cervinis hood with a 94/95 Bumper cover with 96/97 Headlights on a 94 Tbird.

We cut the front part of the hood off and cut the front part of the original 94 hood, then fiberglassed them together, welded in the hood to match the contour of the 97 lights.

Lonnie doll had a 91 Tbird with the Cervinis hood and 97 Headlights - he had alot of custom fiberglass work done on the hood to re-shape the front.

Not sure what George did or had done to his Bird for the hood with a 94/95 Bumper and 96/97 Headlights.

It would also be possible to make a "Mold" of the original hood and re-fiberglass the front part of the Cervinis hood.

I believe that George does have the 89-93 Mach hood on a 94 and up front bumper and 96/97 headlamps on his 1989 SWB #005 Tbird. The webpage for that car is click here though there are no front on pics. I'd forgot just how sexy that car looks. Makes me miss my SC more...:(

Doug Kielian of Auto Kraft did the work on my car. Like the other poster said, you have to cutoff the longer portion of the hood and fill in around the 96-97 lights. The front of the hood also needs extensive reshaping to match the contours of the later hoods.

You can see the part that was cutoff and the openings that need to be filled over the lights.
