heres a rant.
all i need is the shifter cable to get my mark VII going again.
I call a couple of auto wreckers here in london. the only one who says they might have one it Corys.
but they wont pull it out i have to go get it.
so my girlfriend leaves her job in mitchell 2 hours early so she can pick me up and i can leave my job an hour early so we can gett he before they close.
we drive clear across the city. (not kidding i work in north west london and corys is in south east london),
i get there go into the lot. i see the 2 fork lift drivers just staindeing there talking. i think awsome they arent busy cus i'm gonna need one to lift the car to get the cable off the tranny
and find a mark VII.
the center counsel is alreadyb out . and there is the cable that i need.
i unblot the top braket and pull off the gromet. look through and see taht the tranny is still in. i think sweet they never cut the cable.
i walk up to one of the lot guys and ask if he can radio the lift driver to lift a car for me.
he say, i have to get the guys in the front office to get the fork drivers to lift a car.
so I go back to the front office. tell the guy that i need a car lifted, he sais have a seat i'll get someone for you. he turns around and says something to the guy next to him. that guy heads off.
I wait. and wait and wait! after a half hour. the guy behind the dest looks at me and says. "are you waiting for something to be cut off?" i say "no I need a car lifted to i can undo 2 bolts and pull a cable off."
he sais well we close now so you'll have to come back tomorow,
I say no i called tomorow and have been waiting for a half hour. i need the part tonight.
so now he goes to the radio and calls for someone. no answer.
he sais sorry everyone is gone home you'll have to get it tomorow.
so here i am another day without my car because someone didn't want to work at the end of the day.
you would think that working at one of the busyest bodyshops in london that you wouldnt get screwed overlike that,
but he said that they would deliver that cable tomorow.
and boy i better not have to pay much for it after that crap.
