View Full Version : AC high side
Can the AC lines be replaced individually, high side, or are they fixed to the condensor? My high side line, right near the inlet fitting, is buldging and needs to be replaced. It looks a though they are a part of the ocndensor, and need to be replaced a one unit? I hope not.

there is a connector on each line just before the connector.
depending on your rear and condition you might have issues getting them apart. remember the lined and condensor is aluminum. do not use heat or you will wreck it.
also you will have to have the system profesionaly evacuated and recharged

How do thoes come apart? I have an 89 in great condition, no rust so they should come apart if I know how.
ps...my rear seems ok

both high and low lines are connected together at the back of the compressor as 1 piece
if it's a 89.... it may not have a low port valve ..as i found out ..but the 90 does have the valve ...so make sure you have both port valves ..high side is by condenser and low is by the drier ....you need quick disconnect couplers to undo them with ...same tools to undo the fuel lines ...come in a pack of 6 or more of various sizes ....dave

Can the lines still be purchased? When you say valve what or which are you refering to? It does have a low side and high side port, for servicing.
