When i bougth my 5.0 it came with two extra track-lok pumpkins with 3.55's and 3.73's. I want to use the 3.73's to upgrade on my 89 AOD (and then put those 3.27's in my 35th :D ), but i forgot which one was wich. Im wondering if there's a way to tell by opening up the differential cover. Like, could I count the teeth or something? Any help appreciated.

You can either pull the cover and count the teeth (divide the ring gear teeth by the pinion gear teeth), or you can count the number of pinion revolutions it takes to make one halfshaft revolution (3 1/2 turns of the pinion = 3.55's, 3 3/4 turns = 3.73's).
