Snapping noise and highway vibration

Back in July you all helped me out to find a mount bracket for the differential, it was special ordered and is now installed.

Unfortunately, the problem I was having is still there. There is a snapping noise under suspension load; going into my driveway which is like a big speedbump the suspension has significant travel and the snapping noise occurs. It can be duplicated by putting it in reverse or drive and applying the brake and gas at the same time. Also when transistioning quickly from left to right on one particular on-ramp that is a tight radius S bend.

I have had the car checked by two very competent shops, one a steering/suspension specialist and one transmission specialist. All suspension parts are tight and do not appear worn. The transmission shop checked the driveline and could only point a finger at the diff mount bracket which has now been replaced.

Issue number two is the cars behaviour on the highway; the drivetrain seems out of balance, and there is a 'courseness' that turns into a vibration above 130 KmH, around 160 KmH it is enough to rattle the coins in the centre console. I have just had the driveshaft balanced and it actually seems worse. The car does not appear to have been hit, the title is clear and everyone that has looked at it say it is in good shape.

Again, much obliged for your thoughts and suggestions.

ok a few things ive encountered on my various sc,s

cv axles are they in good shape maybe dry no grease,
wheel bearings are they ok jack up car and try to move front to back .
if it wobbles bearing is going out try to tighten axle nut if you can do it with a regular ratchet and socket its bad,

how are your mounts tranny and engine?
a loosew wheel axle nuit can make it feel like its wobbly or steering from rear or just make a vibration.

I had a shake on the interstate that was bad enough to rattle my rearview mirror off of the window hook...it ended up being my front U-joint....it also caused a loud clunk when switching from Drive to Reverse, or Reverse to Drive.

vibration problems

I'm having a similar problem with vibration on my 89 five speed SC. the car shifts like it has a brand new tranny. but when cruising i get a very light vibration whenever i take my foot off the gas pedal. it feels like its coming from directly underneath me in the center of the car. also when im cruising at high speeds it always vibrates no matter if I'm on the gas or not, but the faster i go when im on the gas the worse it gets. still it is not NEARLY bad enough to shake anything, my change tray doesnt shake, neither does my mirror. (thank god) but I'm curios to know if it is my U-joints or drive shaft... or both!! (I hope not) what should I look for or inspect?
