What is a general/average boost pressure everyone normally hits under full acceleration in a stock motor?

i was under the impression both generations of superchargers were suppose to produce 12lbs of boost stock. Lots of variables can change that though ie weather conditions . See you sunday,

With a total stock every thing . Mine would hit 12.
And the vac would read 20lbs on my guage.

i was told 11-12. I dont know if mine made that much cause i never had a 100% stock motor. With lightly ported heads & lower intake i make 10lbs.

With boost around 10 - 11, I guess my car is in the normal range then. Thanks.

I just added a 10% overdrive and OMG this car is a beast.

Before anyone thinks about it. I have no A/C condensor blocking flow to my intercooler and radiator. I wouldn't even think about this mod otherwise.

not to be a downer but what you need to do for a 10% OD is free up the exhaust

If you read his sig he has exhaust..

I've only had my car for a couple of months and I seem to only get about 8 psi under full throttle. My car has been babied also. I bought it from an older gentleman (original owner). I have some steel pulleys to install and a new belt...I'm hoping that will help. Could it also be that I'm over 6,000ft above sea level?

The 6000 foot item just might have something to do with it, but the nice thing is, your car will still be strong where the power beasts at sea level that are naturally aspirated are gonna hurt big time.

Its not the exhaust behind the resonator that is the problem, its the resonator itself that is the problem.

I drove my 85 Mustang from California here and it's barely putting down 300hp and 304ft lb of torque now. It's a carbureted car, so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about the decrease in performance. Can't afford a power adder. As a matter of fact, it was killing me in gas (only gettin 14 mpg and I have to buy 91+ octane fuel), that's why I bought the Cougar. Being my first Cougar, I didn't realize that you have to use premium fuel also! But at least I'm getting 21 mpg with the Cougar.

Stock 12-13psi. I put in a ported 94-95 blower with 5% od. I can hit 15psi on a nice cool day
