Just looking for an idea guys any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have a 92 sc with a blown head gasket but the car still runs and drives. I have cobra r 17x9 wheels w/nitto drag radials on the rear. The exterior is blue and the interior in spotless except for a 1 in tear on the pass seat. I have a viper 791xv alarm and remote start w/a window module which controls the windows up and down. I also have a kenwood cd player with motorized face. The car has a custom h-pipe to true dual exhaust and flowmaster mufflers. The engine has a 94/95 style supercharger w/magnum powers inlet and a 10% pulley. has a fairly new water pump. I also have the mach 1 hood on the car as well. It also has 3:73 gears. What do you guys think i would be able to get for my car as it sits and if i were to fix it??

Thanks for the input

kyle

It's going to be worth less if the head gaskets are blown and you're still driving it. Now, instead of just doing the head gaskets, the new owner (if you sell it) will have to go through the whole motor, because coolant and gotten on all the bearings. I would say you'd be lucky to get $1500-$2000 for it.

If you fix it, maybe $2500. How many miles on the car?

This is my car.... I have not driven the car except up and down the street...The car has 130,000 miles on it and this is the second head gasket job on it... what do you think now?

Oh yeah and there is not one rust spot or mark on the car....

Ok, maybe $3000. Fact is, no matter how nice some of these cars are or how much you've done to them, they just aren't going to bring a lot of cash. It's sad! :( Hope you are able to get for it what you are looking to.

what part of michigan are you at? more details would be appreciated on the SC. 5speed?

I sold mine for $3800 in prestine condition. cant imagine paying $3k with a possible motor rebuild in the future.

Geeze.. too bad about the HG. When mine goes I don't think I'll drive it and be bragging about it on the internet because I might not get what I want for it.

WELL if you would read it says ive only driven it up and down the street... only to see if it still drives, because the last time the HG went i couldn't drive it with out it stalling or over heating!!! And im not bragging about it just wanted some input on what people thought it was worth!!!

TUFF CHOICE???

Im trying to justify spending 2-3 grand on the car or just drop the 2-3 grand on the boat and I wont have any issues with someone wanting to work on the motor because it has a 351 windsor in it:)

From the posted pic and the upgrades, I think you may be able to get as high as $2500. It would have to be from someone who has the money to fix it and know what the car will be after repairs. Looks to me like a very nice SC. Nice ones are getting harder to find. If it was mine I would rebuild the motor and hold on to it. Nice car!

Thanks.....I would really hate to part with it but on the other hand the car hasn't been on the road very strong in a year and a half:mad:  ....I dont know im so confused!!!!   !!!

Just by driving it up and down the street could be pushing coolant into the bottom end bearings... and if that is happeneing the car will need a lot more than just HG's.

You could have already destroyed that motor completely or very darn close to it. The guys are NOT joking about pushing the value down just by stating you've driven it with blown HG's

Oh well.....

i think you would bring in more by parting it out at this point in time than by selling it whole. with the cervini hood, chrome rims, magnum powers plenum, 94/95 supercharger, and 3.73 pumpkin you ought to be able to get $1000-1500 from those few parts alone.
