ok im replying this for a friend this is what he told me......

I get in and it starts up normal right
It runs a little more than 2,000 pry bout 2,200
Then once it gets warmed up it goes down to bout 1,700
It will fluxuate from 1,500 to 1,700g's
But every once in a while it will not want to start.
If I put it in neautral and rev it up to bout 4500 there is some water from the exhaust, it doesnt smell like it running rich at all so thats where im confused

Do a search for "Cam Sensor" I bet you will find out that his is starting to go bad.

If its just idling high, maybe your IAC valve. Check out Oreilleys to get one, thats where ive got mine from. If the tach is outta wack, then its more than likely your cam sensor, ive got one liying around id let you have for next to nothing plus shipping. PM me and let me know...

It sounds like the IAC to me. Tell him to unplug it and it should idle closer to normal. If it shuts down when unplugged, the IAC is good and then he should look at another problem.
