JB Weld is good stuff, but I've never had to use it on an oil pan. I did use it to repair some decorative wraught iron railing at my folks house. It worked great for that. I think you would probably be OK to use it on the pan as long as you can get all the oil/grease off the mating surfaces, and you use the correct "type" of JB Weld (there are a couple of different formulas available). High heat is another factor to be considered. Basically, its worth a try. If it works out, you saved the cost of a replacement pan. If not, you're only out a few bucks (and some time).
