Thanks Wanye!

I now have the Super Coupe Performance prizes, they offered 2 free memberships plus 4 gift certificates for $25 each, I may just give them all away as one $100 gift certificate though. At least two $50 gift certificates.

Greg, I would offer to let you use my slicks to see what your beastie can really do, however, they are now on Mustang rims so that I can bolt them on my car again !!

cheers

For anyone that knows for sure that they will be attending this event by Thursday night please post and let me know. If my torque converter gets fixed on time maybe we can all drive down together.

Chances are pretty good I'll be going Steve. I have to drop Ann off at the bus depot downtown though by 7:00am for her trip to Maine and will be leaving from there. We'd have to meet up somewhere west of the 427 and 401 or the 403 and 401.

BTW this might be a stupid question but I have never been to the track before.......is there some where in the track to buy bags of ice? Or do I need to buy it outside and bring it in.

Thanks.

The concession stand that is there has ice Steve.

Everything at the stand is expensive. I would take a cooler with some ice and throw some drinks in there too.

Guys,

Are meeting points being established for a drive out to St. Thomas, or are we all just to get there by our own means?

Jim.

Jim we're trying to come up with a meeting point in the west end somewhere. I have to be downtown for 7:00am to drop Ann off at the bus depot then I would be leaving from there. I need to head north anyway to link up with the 401.
If someone knows an exit west of say 403 where there is a Timmy's we could meet and leave from there.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to join you guys tomorrow.

If you're looking for a Tim's to stop and meet at, there is one with a rather large parking lot in the Meadowlands area of Ancaster, just off the Lincoln Alexander Expressway. The exit for Golflinks Rd where the Tim's is located is only a few hundred feet from the 403 as it reaches the top of the hill in Ancaster. Simply exit the 403 and take the Linc eastbound but stay in the right-most lane. As soon as you get on the Linc, you'll exit at the Golflinks Rd. exit and go right onto Golflinks Rd. The Tim's is located on your right, a few hundred yards down from the Linc.

If that location doesn't work for you, then the next Tim's going west that I know of is that one right on the 403. I think that's near Woodstock, or something.

Guys, watch your speed traveling to and from the track. As Bill found out, they like to use unmarked cars and patrol the stretch of the 401 around London quite frequently.

I hope you all have a great time tomorrow, and I can't wait to hear who takes the $500 USD gift certificate! If any of you happen to own a digital camera, please take lots of pics and post them so that those of us unable to join you can see what we missed.

Best regards,

Sean

It makes me deeply sad to say that my car will not be ready until tomorrow afternoon so I will not be able to attend the V6 challenge on Friday. :(

Jimmy if it's just you and me lets meet at the Second Cup by your place on Hurontario where we usually do when we go to the drags, at least I know where that is.

Ed you get off 403 south at Hurontario and go right the Second Cup is down about a block or so.

I should be there around 8:00-ish from downtown.

Jim I have to meet Ed and get the prizes from Fines Ford to take with us. We can do the 403 to the 401 via Hamilton.

Les,

I just left his message on your cell phone....but here's a repeat: ;)

No problem, I can meet you around 8:00. How about you give me a call when you're close and I'll let you know my where-abouts (I have to get gas in the morning...both for me (coffee) and the car!)

If it's just you and I heading out, and we aren't meeting anyone in Hamilton, we are better off going straight up 10 to the 401 and go across that way. It should be much quicker then dealing with the QEW and 403 Hamilton/Brantford in rush hour. :)

See you in the morning!

Jim.

Sorry guys, but I'm actually heading the opposite direction tomorrow morning. I'm planning to leave my place by 10:00 AM to head to the Lindsay area for the weekend.

I hope you guys all have a great time! Please take tons of pics if you can, and perhaps some video footage so that I can see what I missed later.

Drive carefully!

Best regards,

Sean
