Okay i was only thinking well today thinking became doing when I came across this car. An all jet black 2002 Pontiac Trans am with tan leather fully loaded with T-tops and a nicely upgraded LS1, it has long tube headers, full exhaust, granetelli MAF, chip, Fast intake and the guy even through in the set of LS6 heads and cam brand new still in the box. He is going overseas for a 5 year sprint and leaving tomarrow and lowered his asking price from 18,000too 12,500 which is what he owed not including all the mods and the extra stuff he gave me. Now heres the kicker never been raced he hadn't even driven it since he got the mods on it and the compression was awesome all across the board he let me take it too a trans tech to have it looked at and I took it to the shop and did a leak down on the cylinders I could reach and it was less than 3% on the front 6 that i could get too it pulls like a freight train and has an original 21,000 miles on it. I did a car fax and showed clean and I had it checked out by a bodyshop nothing is wrong so i got it! I will now install the heads, cam , I bought a set of 3.73 gears for the rear and a 3200 stall for it as well. I was acually wanting an auto anyway tired of banging gears haha. I will also be installing a turbo system as well at a future date. So the SC will be parting ways from me so guys I love the car but I am off to bigger things and to me the WS6 trans am which all I need is the hood to complete the look is one of the meanest looking cars ever to leave the factory and especially in black!!! Its also already got tinted windows and chrome rims, will post pics when i can.

The dark side is only for the Grand Nationals. Not to take away from the car you now have. Sounds like a real good deal.
Other things that are GN only are the saying "Bad to the Bone", and license plate surrounds that say "I brake for Corvettes"
I know they had a commercial for one of the Caddies I think that used the Bad to the bone song last year, it just didn't fit.
I think you should go have some fun with the Firebird, and keep the SC Too. Then when you get tired of the Pontiac you can sell it and buy a GN and become one of the really cool people like me with a SC, and a GN. Haha!

I would love to have gotten a GN but alas they are harder to come by then a good SC so i will just have to suffer with the TA haha

I feel your pain. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to giving up the SC thing a few years ago for a car with a LS1 in it. Im glad I did not. I can actually take my kids with me when I go somewhere now.

You are going to have fun pulling the engine out of that beast. Lift the nose up, and roll the K-member out on the front wheels. Its not tough, but its a pain. Post pix when you can cause I LOVE the looks of those cars.

man, there are GN's a plenty were im from. the problem is nobody will sell them!! they either want 10g's or are content with letting them rot in their front yard...:(



but there are quite a few nice runners...:cool:

The TA will soon consume you and you will forget what a nice riding car is all about....Then many years from now you will get back into an SC an dgo....Dam what a POS my Firbird is....

Sucks that your ditching the SC, but it sounds like the car your getting will be much faster. Are you selling your SC in tact or parting it out ?

sorry guys was out all day playing with the new TA and believe me Damon I can take the family in the car just fine and if not I have the durango to do it. Second I love the TA meanest looking car I have seen in a long time. I also know all about taking out the engine to do anything major its acually really easy, done it before on friends cars. People act like its a huge deal but its really not that hard. I also took it out to the dyno and with only the flowmaster exhuast muffler, stock size pipes no headers yet it made 342 RWHP and 338 RWtq my SC is ahead but not by much and this thing is almost bone stock. Now I will also add a 100 shot of the good stuff to it tomarrow picked up the kit today, I also still have the heads cam and headers to add and soon I will be putting the turbo on and the kit I am getting says it will be around 750 RWHP so I am not to worried about having enough power haha.

If I cannot get a good deal on my SC i will be parting it out since I will get more money that way just hate to tear it apart its running so good. But I also added a bigger MAF today and that made a nice difference should have dynoed after that since I was able to tell a difference had to be another 10 RWHP with the granatelli MAF in it and tomarrow I will add the NOS and the headers, chip, and ram air kit. Right now its fricken quick especially for an auto. I forgot how much I like an auto.

I personally dont blame you if a fast car is what you want....I would never have just an SC....

I bought this car about two months ago after i lost two 93's in a Tornado here in Tn...
I don't concider it going to the dark side. I just happened to have the money to buy my dream car and i did.

I still love the SC's though and plan to buy another one soon...
