Ok admitted Mopar Guy, helping a friend with a super coupe T Bird. What do You Guys use to seal the supercharger- intercooler pipes? Thanks, Andrew

Im not sure what type gasket your reffering to. First sc ford experience. additional info please, maybe a link? My friend bought the "factory"? rubber O-ring type seals. With no receiver/locater groove I wasnt happy and used just Permatex ultra black sealer last night. Im going over to start it this afternoon and see how it does. I might need additional help with this project and I really appritiate the quick rresponce. Im a mopar guy but I really like this car and am anxious to see it run well. Thanks again, Andrew.

It can sometimes be a PITA to seal the IC tubes.....

Wynn (AKA tbird88) sells these teflon IC gasket sets.....

They seal perfectly over and over again.....

Makes tune ups easier....:D

Do a search for Texas Thunderbirds or tbird88....

Or you can e-mail him at: tbird88@datarecall.net

thanks everyone. The sealer alone worked great, the car had really ran like crap. runs nice now. only prob is a really high idle, like 1500-1800. Didnt have My scan tool but will check codes tomorrow. Dosent seem at all like a vaccume leak. Has really good vac #s

It could very well be the IAC going out, or maybe just needs a re-learn.

Also you could check the voltage going to the Throttle postion sensor.
