Anywho, pondering about the 4.6, i imagined a 5.4, then i opened MM&FF and there was a 5.4 DOHC that they made... nice!

basically could i get the wireharness from a cobra 4.6 and basically drop the DOHC heads on a 5.4 iron block? and just work from there? of course it would be boosted, and 5.4 cranks are forged so thats a big plus.... i mean a 5.4 block cost around 200 bucks so thats not bad at all... its just a block with upgraded internals....anyone?

Last I read about these Mod motors, they can be a hand full when it comes to parts interchangeability, this head fit that engine but, not this engine and no two crankshafts are the same????? that kind of thing, so watch what you intend on doing, I'll try and find the edition, but, MM & FF had a good article about this, and the more I read about them the more confusing it became, different years used different block and like that, not exactly like the old 302, with it pretty much unlimited interchangeability, I'll get back to you on this. cheers, Frank H.

the 5.4 has an awfully long stroke...just stick with a 4.6 dohc...Apparently the new shalby and ford gt are both 5.4 dohc so it can be done with factory parts...

The biggest issue is Romeo vs Windsor with teh SOHC and with the DOHC several different head castings were produced..All of which use different intakes
