i have a 1990 SC ,,, ive posted on here many times about my harmonic balancer being broken and the bolt being stuck ... well tonight i finally got the bolt out and luckly i twisted it out with my fingers ,,,, and i got the sleeve around the shaft off also ..... The question i have is "CAN I REMOVE THE OLD KEYWAY AND PUT A NEW ONE ON THE CRANKSHAFT" ?? ,,, or is the one thats on the shaft permanite ,,, i dont want to try to pry it out and break it if it cant be replaced ,,,, ........

AND is there a specified amount of torque i should put on the harmonic balancer bolt ,,, ?

thank all you guys soo much for giving me tips to get through this mess ,,,, i dont think i could have done it without all of you ... thanks !!

You can replace the Key in the keyway, its not a part of the crankshaft. It would be good to put anti-sieze on the crankshaft before your new balancer goes on also.
The Harmonic balancer bolt needs to be torqued down to 103-130 ft lbs.
