I am wanting to run a A/R blower at the shootout.
I am tuned to run a MPIII blower.I have a tune
from XR7 dave. The car runs good with his tune,
but blows head gaskets.

I want to install the A/R blower ,but cannot tune for it.
Do you think that there would be a huge enough differents
between the two blower tune requirments. That going
from a MPIII to the 1.7 A/R would burn my SCBIRD up?
Tring to drive to the shootout without my scbird being
tuned for the A/R.

I have a raised manifold larger MAF and Throttle body,
snow injection. But I am afraid to install these parts
without a tune.To drive to the shootout.

Should I install the A/R and risk blowing the head gaskets
or motor again this year to make the shootout?

Thanks Randy

Tough choice Randy

I dont think there should be an issue switching blowers. If anything swap and have it tuned at the shootout. ALso you can install the alcohol injection without using it till it gets tuned

Or you can beat the pee out of yer MPIII and get some good numbers..Choice is yours really

Either way check to see if your AR is ok before having to much fun

Damon I was wanting to run the A/R ,because it should
be less strain on my motor. Than the MPIII takes to turn
it over.

But I do not want to go for my third head gasket set trying
to get a tune. It looks like I need to drive to the dyno four
days before a dyno pull. So I will have enough time to
rebuild my motor before getting tuned.

I am starting to hate this ~~~~in car over this tuning crap.
I have some very nice parts that are just useless.
The reason I bought a A/R blower was That I thought
maybe I could get a tune for it.There are no dynos near
my area, so I have no way of even getting a mail order tune.
So I can drive to a dyno and burn up my motor again for a
final tweek & tune.

I going to the bar and punch a farmer in the nose, over my
non-tuning abillity.Maybe I will feel better. :)

Thanks Randy

Go to the Shootout with the MPIII, but bring the AR kit with you. Do some 1/4 mile runs with the MPIII, then swap it out for the AR and repeat.

Drive out easy to the Shootout- save the right side of the boost guage for the track! :D

Well, if it helps any, it may not make you feel better, but the farmer certainly will
