Any recommendations for where to obtain new IAC (or Idle Speed Control)? Stay with FoMoCo parts? Any bad experiences (good or bad) with AutoZone, O'Rielly's, Advance, etc? Price? P/Ns?

thanks

Without a doubt,, use the Ford part.
Some of the aftermarket ones will not work properly on the SC

On my 90, I use the AC/Delco part that listed on Rockauto for over a year now and never had an issue, pulse it's $25.00 cheaper. Funny, Rockauto.com use to list the OEM part but it's no longer there.

Advance sells the Ford IAC in it's generic box. Just so a little homework and make sure you get the brand that AZ, ORiellys, etc doesn't sell. ;)

PS: I've used two on my 94. First lasted quite a few years. The second was on year 2 when the HGs blew and is in current use on my Cougar, so technically it's on year 4.

A couple weeks ago my IAC went bad and I had to go get one from Advanced Auto Parts. I forget what brand it is, but it works good.

It was $62.
