Latley my car has been having hard starts when i let it sit for 8 or more hours. When it did start there would be a puff of smoke out the back. Thinking it was leaking injectors i got a fuel injector pressure checker. I just hooked it up and the results were that it started off at about 39-37 psi after a half hour the pressure was at 33-32, after an hour 29-28... Dose this mean the injectors are leaking? Thanks for any help.

That fuel pressure loss is normal. Is your fuel pump coming on for a few seconds when you turn the key?? That is what primes the system.

Abe,
Derecks right on the money. Have someone turn the key to the on postion while you listen at the gas cap door with the gas cap off. You should hear the fuel pump run for a few sec. then stop.
If it does not run then you have found the problem OR it could be the fuel pump relay.

But if i'm getting fuel pressure then the fuel pump should be ok, right?
