Another Vacuum Leak

Does anyone know where the vacuum line that mounts to the (pass.) side of the throttle body go to? Looks like it runs behind the block but I cannot see without taking off the cowl. Warm idle vacuum dropped to about 12 inches, and when I turn off the car, I can hear a hissing coming from somewhere behind the TB.

There are no vacuum lines on the throttlebody. It could be your idle air control thingy leaking, or it could be some other vacuum line somewhere else. with that big of a vacuum leak, you should be able to hear hissing with the motor running. Try looking in the faq section for detecting boost leaks, it should be very helpful.

Leak

Try to spray some carb cleaner around your I.A.C.........if the idle picks up you leak is coming from you idle air compensator.

Thanks Tin Knocker, the air hiss I hear when I turn the motor off seems to be coming from around the firewall behind the intake. From your diagram, it will probably turn out to be the climate control
