Well I needed new plugs since I think I was running toooo cold of plugs and they were the wrong gap too so I went to buy some stock plugs today. Since FORD was closed I thought I woudl just see what CTC had, I wanted the Ford Motorcraft 32pp plugs, but since CTC had the Iridium plugs I thought I woudl give them a try, they are the same price as the FORD plugs, $19 for 2 or $9-10 each for FORD plugs so I figured why not.
They say DO NOT GAP on them probably because the electrode tip is pencil thin, I have not opened them yet to check the actual gap on them yet but I figure they are stock gap. I also assume since they say do not gap that great care was taken to make sure the gap is accurate, but I will soon find out.
I have to change my starter AGAIN ( I got a new/rebuilt one today with a 5 year warrenty :) ) and change my plugs and put in my new tune from Dr. Fred and see how she runs, hopefully no more richness, oh yeah I am changing my oil today too!
Hopefully I get it started tonight, it takes atleast an hour to change my starter with my Long Tube headers on :( Very hard to get at, but on a lighter note, my spark plugs can be changed in about 5 mins :)

Well to my surprise I got my starter done in about 30min, maybe less, this time I knew how to get at the top bolt on the starter, its real tough, took me a while to figure out how to reach it the first time.
Anyways, the starter is changed now, just draining my gas, uhhh I mean my oil (soaked with gas) :) and just came in the house to upload the Dr. Fred file, all I have to do now is change the plugs.
I did check and they are factory gapped to 0.54, I will try that first since they say DO NOT GAP on them.
Only one problem, My wife has BOTH SETS OF KEYS :( I have to wait till she gets home to try and start the car. Thats cool though, I have a heavy duty ground strap I want to put on the car. Hopefully she will be home just after 9pm so I don't piss off the neighbours with starting my car late at night again! :)
Stay tuned.

Well plugs are in and car is back together, just waiting for the wife to get home, hopefully its soon, its gettin late! :)
Anyways I noticed something about these plugs, one was sitting next to the FMS AWSF22C spark plugs I had, well the NGK Iridium plug was about 1/8-1/4 inch longer, it had a space before the threads which the other plugs I have didn't which means the electrode will sit father in the combustion chamber, I wonder if the plugs I was running were too short? They were not even mustang plugs but had the same thread pattern and were a heat range colder which other mustang guys run so who knows, the NGK plugs I bought today were for the SC.
The new Dr. Fred tune is in and the EEC is back inthe car, come on wifey, come home!

Well the wifey just got home a few minutes ago so I took the car out for a spin, started up perfect, the new starter works great. Car did not rev up and down like it use to, started and revs stayed low, cool. Car runs pretty good too, the iridium plugs seem fine, the gap too, car runs much much better then before, 2 of the plugs that I was using were covered in black soot and the other 4 were fine but white, not good.
Anyways, I just took the car around the block, I didn't want to go far since I wasn't sure how it would run. Its late too so I don't want to piss everyone off either. I did give it some gas thougha nd got it up to speed, ran great, good power and no setonation, EGT temps were normal too, around 9 for idle and raised with acceleration.
There is only one SLIGHT problem with the tune, otherwise its perfect so far...........
The car won't IDLE! :) It idles fine really just too low and wants to stall out, I had to keep on the gas to keep it running, I did notice Fred lowered the idel rpm so hopefully thats all I have to do it raise it and everything will be better.
I gotta go email Fred now, me a happy camper! :)

You are on that Morana "F" cam huh ? Pretty long cam. Anyway, as rich as you were running, it would have made for a strong idle, so follow the directions in the e-mail about how to set the air bleed, about 1 1/4 turns open, and then set the idle stop (IAC disconnected) where you would like the car to idle. So if your think 700+ is too low, just set it for, say, 850 rpm. Reconnect the IAC. Then, tell your tuner file the idle speed (850 in the example), and that should do it.

Fred, I looked at the TB and there is no set screw or any screw for that matter to adjust. I took a close look at an extra IAC I have and on the end there is some white rubbery stuff, I removed that and there is a screw beneath it, it looks like a hex screw or whatever its called but its only 5 sided, what kind of socket or bit will fit this and where to get it. If this is not the screw to adjust then I don't know where it is, anyone got a pic? I have a stock 90 TB too. If the hidden screw on the IAC is the actual screw then I may have to remove the IAC to get at it, since the oil fill cap is right in front of it when its on the motor.
